Committees

The AAOA is committed to member involvement. Our committee structure is the backbone of program development and implementation for member services and specialty advocacy. As such, committee activity is a great learning opportunity to become more involved with the AAOA and potential rise to leadership roles. We encourage all members to volunteer for committee service. Below we have defined the role of each committee. Please consider where you skills best fit and what you would like to learn more about when choosing a committee.

To apply, please send us a letter with a brief bio-sketch indicating the top three committees on which you would like to serve, why, and the skills you can bring to these committees. In addition, be sure to include your name, address, phone number, and email where you can best be reached. Please fax your volunteer application to the AAOA at (202) 955-5016 by November 30, 2008, to be considered for the committee of your choice.
